Over the past few years, the American Red Cross in Nassau County and the New York Islanders have partnered together at various events to help make Long Island a safer place to live, work and play.

In the 2008-2009 season, the partnership between the organizations will be elevated to a whole new level thanks to Hockey With A Heart. On Dec. 26th, the Islanders will host a special American Red Cross Night.

Besides shining a spotlight on all the Nassau Chapter does for Long Islanders, a portion of the night's proceeds will be donated to the Red Cross. Additionally, the Islanders are providing a limited number of discounted tickets for purchase through the Nassau Red Cross. Through your purchase, not only will you enjoy a great night of hockey -- you'll be helping YOUR Nassau Red Cross help your fellow Long Islanders!
