WASHINGTON, January 29, 2010 — In an operation that has involved more emergency response teams than any other single-country disaster in global Red Cross history, the American Red Cross has so far spent or committed more than $67 million to meet the most urgent needs of earthquake survivors in Haiti.

GARDEN CITY, N.Y., Jan. 29, 2010 -- The Garden City Hotel signature restaurant, Rein, in support of Haiti earthquake relief efforts, will donate all of its February breakfast menu profits to the Nassau County Chapter of the American Red Cross.

MINEOLA, N.Y., Jan. 21, 2010 -- The American Red Cross has teamed with Simon Properties and Cox Radio to collect monetary donations for Haiti relief efforts throughout the weekend at Roosevelt Field Mall in Garden City.

WASHINGTON, D.C., Jan. 14, 2010 -- With estimates that as many as three million people may be affected by the catastrophic earthquake which hit Haiti Tuesday, the American Red Cross is releasing an additional $9 million for earthquake relief, bringing its total commitment so far to $10 million to support relief efforts in Haiti.
