By admin @ 10:44 AM :: 293 Views :: 1 Comments :: Nassau County News, Press Releases

HICKSVILLE, N.Y., Feb. 1, 2010 -- Hundreds of Hicksville residents are still without natural gas due to a leak in the vicinity of 14th Street and Meyers Avenue. The American Red Cross in Nassau County has been asked to open a warming center at the Hicksville Community Center, 28 West Carl Street. The center will open at 2 p.m. and will remain open until midnight. If necessary, depending on how long it takes National Grid to restore services, the Red Cross will open a shelter at a nearby school.
