MINEOLA, N.Y., May 7, 2010 — Despite possible showers Saturday morning, the American Red Cross in Nassau County has no plans to cancel its 3rd Annual Cross Walk for Local Disaster Relief at Eisenhower Park.

FREEPORT, NY, April 20, 2010 -- The Nassau County Chapter of the American Red Cross provided food, shelter and clothing to a family of four after a fire destroyed their Westside Avenue home Monday night.

MINEOLA, N.Y., April 12, 2010 -- Every year, hundreds of Long Islanders find themselves homeless because of disasters like house fires.
